I work from my home studio in the quiet hamlet of Moffat, Ontario just west of Toronto within easy reach of the GTHA. I'm a proud graduate of the Canadian Institute of Floral Design.

Some most common questions asked by my customers

What can I expect at a floral workshop?

Workshops are a fun and relaxing experience where you will craft outstanding floral arrangements with all the support you need. Workshops are small groups, up to six, in my floral studio at my home in Moffat. Each participant has their own 6 foot table to have their own space. Enjoy snacks and conversation as you learn about florals and create your own piece to take home.

What if I am looking for something that I don’t see offered on your website?

Every image on my website was a custom order for a client that was designed in collaboration to suit their specific needs. The images represent a small sample of my work to provide ideas and give some scope to the types of arrangements I typically do. In every design, I work closely with my clients to capture their vision and aesthetic. Consider connecting with me for a complimentary consultation to explore your ideas for your bouquets and other creative floral arrangements.

Do you use environmentally sustainable products?

Environmental sustainability is an ongoing priority at Miriam’s Floral Studio. There are several ways we work to reduce our environmental footprint.

1. Locally source florals and greens grown in Ontario that are in season to reduce the need for imported products which may be grown less sustainably.

2. Use design techniques that reduce waste from plastic and floral foam, as well as use reusable materials including preserved natural products such as dried flowers and branches in our arrangements.

3. Sustainably harvest native and local materials such as peonies, stephanotis, some greens and seasonal evergreens whenever possible.

4. All organic waste is composted.

What can I expect from a consultation?

A consultation is a conversation where we discuss what you are looking for, and questions you might have about floral design options. It is an opportunity for me to get to know you personally by listening, asking questions and offering suggestions about how we might work together on your event. I use the information gathered in a consultation to prepare a quotation for my services if you would like that and work to provide exceptional customer satisfaction. Florals for an event are a significant investment and you need to feel comfortable and confident that you are working with the right person for you and I am committed to strengthening relationships with clients. Consultations can occur face to face, virtually as video or phone call at a mutually convenient time.
